e-Toll ExpressPass Service
Toll roads are becoming more and more common in the USA. To continuously be able to offer you a convenient and worry-free travel with your rental car, Avis offers an optional "e-Toll service", which is available and payable at the rental car counter. No more waiting in long lines or searching for small change, with this service you can cruise worry-free through the toll booth - using the express lane! The incurred toll fees will be automatically charged to your credit card. This service is available at selected rental stations.
Supplemental Liability Insurance
The government required liability insurance included by the rental car companies in the United States is considered insufficient by independent experts. The coverage required by law ranges from US$ 0 (basically no insurance coverage) to a maximum of US-$ 60,000. We strongly recommend adding a supplemental liability insurance package; otherwise you will personally be held responsible for any damages. In all packages a Supplemental Liability Insurance with US-$ 1 million in coverage is included directly from AVIS (coverage amounts reflect current coverage, subject to change). Coverage directly by AVIS means that in case of an accident the claim will be handled directly through AVIS with no upfront cost to you!
